Crucial BJP politics halted Islamic progression in 2016 WB Assembly.

Islamic progression halted in WB Assembly due to crucial BJP politics this time.

Samudra Gupta | Spotlight Media | Kolkata | May 19, 2016:: The final tally of West Bengal Assembly Election, 2016 has been published by the Chief Election Officer some hours back.

All India Trinamool Congress will again form the ministry in Bengal by its thumping majority of  211 seats without any alliance out of 294 strength WB Assembly.

The Congress and Left alliance went for a very poor show with the defeat of Com. Suryokanta Mishra, the projected CM for the alliance.

For the first time, BJP is entering to WB Assembly with its highest strength of 3 MLAs including the victorious State President Dilip Ghosh from Kharagpur Sadar.

Earlier two MLAs of BJP in WB reached to Assembly through by-election and BJP never tasted the victory of General election so far in the State.

The final tally of WB Legislative Assembly 2016 shows us this picture. TMC -211. INC -44, CPIM -26, CPI -1, RSP -3, Forward Block -2, Gorkha Janamukti Morcha -3, BJP -3, Independent -1.

From this result it is very much clear that public has rejected the vested alliance of Congress and Left and eventually believed upon the much acclaimed 'development' by Mamata Banerjee without hearing anything about Sarada, Narada or collapse of Posta bridge etc.

This tremendous public support to TMC in this outstanding victory of Mamata and TMC will energize all in TMC to venture for more Sarada, Narada and Posta!

But, what is significant in this time that the run of Islamic Trojan horses towards WB Assembly house somehow halted as the numbers of Muslim MLAs have not been increased in comparison to the last Assembly position.

The Islamists in every political party usually design to increase the numbers of Muslims MLAs from their franchise and it was expected to cross the number of Muslim MLAs over 70 in 2016 WB Assembly as per their calculation done in Tipu Sultan Masjid and Furfura Shariff.

For the last two Assembly position the number of Muslim MLAs were increasing significantly. In 2006  there were 45 Muslim MLAs in the WB Assembly, which was increased as 60 in 2011. But, this time in 2016  the increase has been halted as the number of 59 MLAs will be seen in the Assembly floor.

The year-wise details can be obtained from below: (Click the links below to get details)

It is evident, while numbers of Muslims MLAs have been increased in both TMC (by +6 MLAs) and Congress (by +3 MLAs), the numbers of Leftist Muslim MLAs have been decreased meaningfully.

From an analysis it is detected that the presence of BJP politics in West Bengal has critically polarized the Hindu votes such a manner when some winning Hindu MLAs have been favoured by BJP vote sharing to make a defeat to their Muslim contenders.

In Budge Budge AC, TMC candidate Ashok Kumar Deb defeated INC candidate Sk. Mujibar Rahaman by 7159 votes. BJP candidate Umashankar Ghosh Dastidar shared a strength of 20778 votes. Ashok Kumar Deb got 84058 and Mujibar Rahaman got 76899. In this situation, if the BJP candidate could not garner the Hindu votes in his favour and allowed the same in favour of INC, there would be another Muslim winning MLA in the WB Assembly.

Such examples are seen in various places like Raniganj where a Hindu candidate from CPM defeated the Muslim TMC candidate by 12385 votes and BJP candidate got 32214 votes. Meaningful Hindu votes from BJP were not allowed to TMC here and that is the sole cause of defeat a Muslim MLA in this Assembly.

In Islampur where win of Muslim Candidate is a phenomenon, this time a Hindu candidate named Kanialal Agarwal of INC won the game by defeating TMC's Muslim candidate and Ex Minister Abdul Karim Choudhury by 7718 votes. Soumyaroop Mondal of BJP got the substantial 18668 Hindu votes. If the BJP candidate could not be successful to snatch a big number of Hindus votes from TMC, there would be another increase of a Muslim MLA in WB Assembly.

This crucial role of polarizing Hindu votes in favour of BJP caused a substantial defeat of many Muslim candidates this time including Rampurhat where BJP candidate Dudhkumar Mondal shared 25480 votes and Muslim candidate of Congress defeated by 21199 votes.

Crushing the constant humiliation of BJP by a section of Bengal Media including ABP Ananda, BJP this time shared a of 10.2% total votes, which has really played a crucial role in Bengal politics.

In the system irony of present election procedures, this 10.2% votes give only 3 seats for BJP. Whereas, only 2% increase upon this vote per cent i.e. 12.3% votes give a total of 44 seats to Congress making them fit for the post of leader in opposition.

Anyway, the five year planning of Bengal Islamists to make more MLAs in successive Assemblies in the favourable situation of 'minority appeasement' and 'Muslim vote bank politics', has been shattered to some extent this time as Islamic progression is halted in WB Assembly now due to crucial BJP politics.

Obviously, this is a success story of BJP politics to arrest a Political Jihad in West Bengal, though a little. Otherwise, there will be 70 Muslim MLAs in WB Assembly at least.

But, the three BJP MLAs viz. Dilip Kumar Ghosh (Kharagpur Sadar), Manoj Tigga (Madarihat) and Swadhin  Kumar Sarkar (Baishnabnagar) in the new  Assembly have their heavy task to chase three most communal persons in the floor of the house. They are Siddikullah Choudhury (Mangalkot), Abdur Razzak Molla (Bhangore) and Hazi Nurul Islam (Haroa), all from TMC.

This analysis seems too much communal to a part of TMC supporters and others. But, there are many winning TMC candidates like Jogaranjan Halder (Kulpi), Manturam Pakhira (Kakdwip) or Dipak Halder (Diamond Harbour) who are likely to understand the essence of this analysis and obviously who thank silently the BJP voters for their intelligent shifting of support to TMC for which they defeated their Muslim contenders put by the  Congress-Left alliance under a culpable communal motive.

Are we still hesitating to recognize the Re-claimer of Kashmir and the maker of West Bengal? Row over first martyr for national integration after 1947.

Political row over tribute to SP Mookerjee

TNN | Kolkata | Jun 23, 2015:: After observing World Yoga Day, the Trinamool-led government in Bengal is now offering tribute to Bharatiya Jana Sangha founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary on Tuesday.

It has raised eyebrows in political circles because in the preceding Left Front government, no CPM minister had ever done this. Former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had stayed away from a programme organized by former Union minister Tapan Sikdar in Mookerjee's memory.

There is no politics in showing respect to a statesman, but the state government doesn't follow the same standards for every political stalwart. The move is being seen as a good gesture following the recent Narendra Modi-Mamata Banerjee bonhomie.

While former CPM leader and Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee called it "late realization" by Trinamool, Congress leader Abdul Mannan said, "Mamata Banerjee will do anything to be in Modi's good books, just so that she is spared a CBI probe." Jana Sangh is the precursor to BJP.

Minister Firhad Hakim and Trinamool MP Subrata Bakshi will offer floral tributes to Mookerjee at Keoratala crematorium on Tuesday. The Left Front government would place wreaths in his memory but it was an official programme, following protocol, said a former Left minister. Usually, officials from the information and cultural affairs department would place the wreaths. Nobody — Mookerjee's nephew, Justice (retd) Chittotosh Mookerjee — can remember any Left minister being present.

"We pay tribute to Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth and death anniversaries quite early in the day. I don't remember seeing a minister coming to pay tribute," said Mookerjee. Also, while the Mamata government did observe Yoga Day, state ministers stayed away from the programme.

BJP MLA Samik Bhattacharya sees the Trinamool government tribute as a healthy sign. "He is the nation's first martyr for national integration. It is due to him that Bengal is a part of India today," said Bhattacharya.

Hindus of Usthi (WB) protested vehemently against Islamic Hooliganism through Village Police.

Hindu Activist and BJP youth leader attacked by Muslim Civic Volunteers in Usthi.

Samarpita Saha | Spotlight News Service | Usthi (S 24 Pgs), WB | 1 January 2015:: The law and order situation under Usthi Police Station (South 24 Parganas) is worsening rapidly due to the rampant Islamic hooliganism and the political indulgence to it.

The purposely recruited Civic Volunteers (renamed from Village Police or Green Police) under the political arbitration of the ruling TMC (Trinmool Congress) are being fully utilized for the political gain by vandalizing the opposition political forces under various repression and persecutions. The mainstream media is ignoring the facts and acts about it causing the uncontrollable situations sometimes against the civil society and police itself.

On Tuesday, 30 Dec,  a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (Youth Front of BJP) leader of Usthi area, named Pratap Hazra was beaten up by some civic volunteers due to quarrel between them out of parking of the motorbike of Hazra, in front of old Usthi Police Station.

Hazra went to the market place for purchasing some household goods and tried to park his bike in a safe place far away from the road so that no traffic jam would occur anyway.

Two Civic volunteers named Makbul Seikh and Sohorab Seikh attacked the BJYM leader all on a sudden after uttering filthy words against, Narendra Modi, BJP and Hindus as well. Hazra tried to check them gallantly and some police personnel present their also intervened to stop the scuffle. But, the police did not arrest the perpetrators for their unruly brutal activities.

It is reported that the perpetrators viz Makbul and Sohorab are very much close to the local TMC MLA and State Minority Affairs Minister Giyasuddin Molla. People believe that Giyasuddin had recommended Makbul, Sohorab and many other Muslim youths in Civic Volunteers for his personal political gain and to use them against the oppositions and the Hindus in particular.

The news of uncivilized and serious attack on Pratap Hazra by the Civic Volunteers under State Police went to the corners momentarily and garnered a huge Hindu repercussion.

About 3000 Hindu activists of various Hindu organizations and BJP supporters of the area gathered in front of Usthi Police Station put up a two hour road bloc since 9 AM, protesting against the incident.

The IC of Usthi PS, Subir Dhali and One SI named Supriya Rang tried their level best to take control over the situation and DSP (Falta -Rural), S 24 Pgs also reached the spot without delay.

After getting some assurance or arresting the attackers or to make further proceedings duly, the agitators removed the road blocked after two hours as such.

A FIR was lodged in Usthi PS for this matter as reported.

The injured worker was treated at Diamond Harbour District Hospital afterwards.

Now, alarming news came to this desk that the Communal MLA of TMC and also the Minority Affair Minister of West Bengal, Giyasuddin Molla is trying hard to rescue the Muslim perpetrators out of his communal feeling and demanded the arrest of Hazra, if Police would arrest the attackers Makbul and Sohorab.

Sources said that Police directly expressed their inability to arrest Hazra as he has no anti social record rather he has a good reputation for his various social welfare activities.

Before joining BJP, Hazra were attached to various Hindu organizations like RSS, Hindu Samhati and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. In recent Hazra launched a pro-Hindu activist group named Bhawani Sena following the ideals of Ananda Math of  Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhya  andBhawani Mandirof  Sri Aurobinda.

Practically, Giyasuddin Molla, the tramp-card of Mamata Banerjee (CM of WB) for Muslim Vote Bank of South 24 Parganas, is trying now to diminish the upsurge of Hindu consolidation and BJP politics in the area and adjacent.

Hindus and the BJP supporters have taken a vow to go for any steps to protect Pratap Hazra from any eventualities and restore the Hindu might in the locality.

Madhuparna Das | Express News Service| Kolkata | December 12, 2014:: The shadow thrown by the Saradha scandal is slowly creeping up the hierarchy of the Trinamool Congress. After two Rajya Sabha MPs, the CBI Friday arrested Madan Mitra, one of most powerful ministers in Mamata Banerjee’s Cabinet, for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore chit fund scam.

Mitra, the State Transport and Sports Minister, submitted his resignation to Banerjee before reaching the CBI office where he was grilled for five hours before being arrested. He is the first Minister in the state to be arrested in the case after TMC MPs Kunal Ghosh and Srinjoy Bose. The Chief Minister, later, called the arrest “the worst conspiracy the BJP government could do in Bengal.”

According to CBI sources, what led to Mitra’s arrest was crucial evidence including CCTV footage, key statements, and detailed documents of certain financial transactions.

The news of Mitra’s arrest was officially announced at 4.20 pm, following which Banerjee and her senior ministers came out in his defence. Banerjee and State Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee claimed that the “decision to arrest Mitra was taken when the BJP national president (Amit Shah) came to the city on November 30.”

However, the buzz about the possible arrest of Mitra had begun on November 15 when he received the first summons from the agency.

The Minister was then admitted to a private hospital though the doctors there failed to provide a “reasonable explanation for his illness” to CBI.

Mitra was then shifted to the state-run SSKM Hospital, where a medical board — again — failed to submit a medical report to CBI “that could justify Mitra’s illness”. Following his discharge from SSKM, Mitra on November 27 sought a week’s time from CBI.

Contrary to Mitra’s claims, the CBI had recovered CCTV footage showing Mitra entering Saradha CMD Sudipta Sen’s office. Sources said that the agency had also recorded statements of Sen, Saradha executive director Debjani Mukherjee and other employees that revealed Mitra’s links to the Saradha establishment.

According to the sources, Mitra initially “refused to cooperate” but broke down after investigators informed him of the arrest.

CBI official Kanchan Prasad later issued a statement confirming Mitra’s arrest “on prima facie evidence of criminal conspiracy, cheating, and misappropriation as well as deriving undue financial benefits from the Saradha Group”. The statement also confirmed the arrests of “Naresh Balodia, Legal Advisor to Sudipto Sen and Saradha Group on charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating and diversion of funds in the same case.”

According to a close aide of Mitra, the Minister had “submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister, but madam did not accept it.”

Speaking to reporters later, Banerjee said, “We also have several documents against many persons. But we are gentle and decent. Should we arrest a Central leader when he comes to our state? We can also put several charges. I am challenging the Central government to arrest me if they can. Madan is innocent. It is a political conspiracy.”

Daring the CBI to arrest her, Banerjee said, “They have sent some goonda-like officers here. People can see how these officers look. And they are now doing ‘goondagiri’ here. How can they arrest a patient who was called as a witness? The BJP government has broken the federal and democratic structure of the country.”

Saradha scam: Mamata backs arrested minister Madan Mitra, dares Modi to arrest her.

HT Correspondent | Hindustan Times | Kolkata |  December 12, 2014 :: Embarrassment mounted for West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and her Trinamool Congress after the CBI arrested state transport and sports minister Madan Mitra in connection with the Saradha scam on Friday.
He is the first minister of Bengal to be arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in any case, and the fourth Trinamool leader to be held by the probe agency in the chit fund scam.

Accusing the Centre of adopting bullying tactics after Mitra’s arrest, Banerjee lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah and dared them to arrest her.

“CBI may take Madan to SSKM Hospital. I will go to meet him. Let me see whether Amit Shah’s goondas and Narendra Modi’s police can arrest me,” she said.

“It (the arrest) is unfortunate, shameful and deserves to be condemned. It’s sheer political vendetta. Can the CBI and the Centre go out of their jurisdiction and act like this?” she added.

The Saradha chit fund scam trail is hounding Banerjee’s government unlike any other challenge she has encountered during her stint in power so far and Mitra’s arrest triggered fresh calls from opposition leaders for her resignation.

Opposition parties have repeatedly accused the CM of trying to shield some of the beneficiaries of the company’s slush funds.

The Saradha scam was caused by the collapse of the investment operation of the Saradha Group, a consortium of over 200 private companies, which ran many unlicensed financial schemes in eastern India.

Under the scam hundreds of thousands of small investors lost Rs. 2,459 crore, according to an official estimate. There are unofficial estimates that peg the figure higher.

The CBI arrested Mitra around 4 pm after questioning him for about three hours during which he denied taking any money from Saradha, said an official privy to the development.

According to the official, who did not want to be named, Mitra stood his ground despite CBI officers confronting him with evidence.

“In the Saradha chit fund scam, RC 4 S/14, case relating to Saradha Realty, CBI has arrested Madan Mitra, a cabinet minister in the government of West Bengal on prima facie evidence of criminal conspiracy, cheating and misappropriation as well as deriving undue financial benefits from Saradha group,” said a CBI statement.

“CBI has also arrested Naresh Balodia, legal advisor to Sudipta Sen (Saradha Group chairperson) on charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating and diversion of funds in the same case,” the statement added.

Within an hour of the arrest, the Trinamool tore into Shah, who had launched a scathing attack on the Bengal CM last month, laying the foundation for the 2016 assembly elections in the state.

“The arrest of our cabinet colleague seems to be an act of vendetta. It appears CBI is controlled not only by BJP but also by Amit Shah. We strongly condemn this action. Neither the governor, nor the assembly speaker was informed before the arrest,” said Subrata Mukherjee, state panchayat minister.

The Supreme Court had in May ordered a CBI probe into the chit fund scams in West Bengal, Odisha and Assam under which various companies, including Saradha, allegedly duped investors of around Rs. 10,000 crore.

Two Rajya Sabha MPs (Kunal Ghosh, Srinjoy Bose) and a vice-president (Rajat Majumdar) of the Trinamool are already behind the bars in connection with the Saradha case.

The CM’s stated position is none from her party took any money from Saradha. She also points to the group’s operations having started during the Left rule, which she ended.

The group folded up in April last year, leaving its investors, largely from rural areas with little access to formal banking facilities, in the lurch.

The opposition mounted pressure on the CM after Mitra’s arrest.

“Madan Mitra’s arrest shows that Trinamool leaders are neck deep in Saradha scam, and the dots are leading to Mamata Banerjee’s doorstep. It’s time for her to resign taking moral responsibility,” said Sidharth Nath Singh, BJP national secretary.

State Congress president Adhir Chowdhury, too, demanded that the CM step down.

Kolkata port under Jihadi threat, Navy submarines moved, City life in anxiety.

Kolkata on high alert after intelligence agencies warn of possible Jihadi terror attack specially on port and marine platoons.

Navy submarines, warships moved....

PTI & Agencies | Kolkata | Nov 4, 2014:: Central intelligence agencies have alerted Kolkata police about the possibility of a terror attack in the city, especially in the port area, a senior official of Kolkata police said on Tuesday.

"We have received inputs from central intelligence agencies that there might be a terror attack in Kolkata, especially in port area. We have increased security in the port area and have put the entire city under security blanket," a senior police officer said on condition of anonymity.

According to the input, terrorists may use small boats to carry out an attack in port area, he added.

Two Naval ships called back for operational reasons

Meanwhile, two Navy warships, which were scheduled to be berthed at Khidderpore dock here till November 7 for public visits, were on Tuesday withdrawn to the sea for undisclosed 'operational reasons,' a defence ministry official said.

The recall of warships INS Khukri and INS Sumitra came in the backdrop of the alert by central intelligence agencies to the Kolkata police about the possibility of a terror attack in the city, especially in the port area.

Asked whether the recall of ships is due to the terror alert by central intelligence agencies, Defence CPRO Group Captain TK Singha said "no, it has nothing to do with any terror alert. The recall of ships is strictly due to operational reasons."

A Defence press statement issued here said "the alacrity by which Indian warships are ready for operation at a short notice was demonstrated by the quick turnaround of the two visiting warships — INS Khukri and INS Sumitra — which had just berthed at Kidderpore on Monday, amply showcasing Indian Navy's prompt readiness as the two warships are set to sail out within hours of a recall to the sea for undisclosed 'operational reasons' on orders by Eastern Naval Command HQ, today."

According to the statement, the warships were scheduled to berth here till Friday, enabling the public to visit the ships on Wednesday and Thursday.

Official sources in Delhi said that the withdrawal was a precautionary measure.

However, when asked whether the withdrawal of the ships was because of the terror alert, Defence CPRO Group Captain TK Singha said, "No, it has nothing to do with any terror alert. The recall of ships is strictly due to operational reasons.

A Defence press statement issued in Kolkata said, "The alacrity by which Indian warships are ready for operation at a short notice was demonstrated by the quick turnaround of the two visiting warships amply showcasing Indian Navy's prompt readiness as the two warships are set to sail out within hours of a recall to the sea for undisclosed 'operational reasons' on orders by Eastern Naval Command HQ, today."

Security has been increased at Kolkata port area on Tuesday after intelligence inputs about a possible terror strike.

Home grown Indian Mujaheddin, banned Students' Islamic Movement in India (SIMI), Jaamat e Islami Hind and foreign terror outfits like Al Qaeda, Jamaat ul Mujaheddin Bangladesh and newly entered ISIS (Islamic state of Syria and Iraq, now known as only IS) are very much active in West Bengal as Talibanic heaven in the Eastern India. Kolkata is considered as sae heaven or Islamic Terrorists. There are many Jihadi sleeper cells of SIMI, HuJI, Al Qaeda, JuMB, IM and IS in Kolkata and West Bengal.  Pakistani Intelligence agency ISI is growing its networking rapidly in Mosques and Madrasas in West Bengal within an utter indulgence of ruling TMC Govt. in West Bengal.
